Meet One of our Kitchen & Bath Designers: Michele Vekich

Michele Vekich is a highly experienced Kitchen and Bath Designer at Soo Mill Buildall, with over 18 years of expertise in her domain. Michele’s design journey began with her education in Graphic Design at Seneca Polytechnic, which was previously known as Seneca College. Her dedication to the field of design was further demonstrated through her 7-year tenure as a teacher at Seneca, where she imparted her vast knowledge and enthusiasm for design to her students.

Seeking a fresh start in her professional journey, Michele moved to Sault Ste. Marie with her family, where she ventured into the realm of kitchen and bathroom design. Michele is renowned for her skill in harmonizing functionality with aesthetic appeal, ensuring that the spaces she creates are not only visually striking but also fulfill the practical requirements of her clients.

Traveling is a crucial source of inspiration for Michele, both personally and professionally. Her journeys, spanning across Europe and most recently to sunny destinations in the Caribbean, have profoundly enriched her design approach. Through these travels, Michele immerses herself in diverse cultures, cuisines, and innovative design ideas. Each destination offers unique insights and inspirations, which Michele skillfully weaves into her projects. This exposure allows her to infuse her designs with distinctive cultural and culinary nuances, bringing a global perspective to her work that sets it apart.

At the heart of Michele’s design philosophy is her passion for storytelling. She values deeply the stories of her clients, believing that every space has its own story to tell. This empathetic and personalized approach allows her to truly capture the essence of her clients, ensuring that each design project distinctly reflects their personality and way of life.

Michele Vekich is more than a designer; she is a storyteller, an educator, and an adventurer, whose varied experiences and commitment to design synergize to create spaces that are not just aesthetically pleasing but also deeply personal and reflective of the individual’s story.
